LangKamel gives your Shopify store a GDPR cookie consent banner that's correct from the first install. Accept, Reject, and Preferences appear with equal prominence: no pre-ticked boxes, no reject button buried on a second screen. A German court ruled in 2025 that a banner offering only "Accept" and "Settings" on the first layer makes consent invalid — LangKamel puts an equally prominent Reject on the first layer by default, on the free plan, from minute one.

Every consent decision is recorded with a timestamp and the exact policy text the visitor saw, and you can export the full trail as a CSV whenever you need to show it. Google Consent Mode v2 signalling and Shopify's Customer Privacy API are wired in, so your Shopify-native pixels receive each visitor's choice. Legal-basis text in English and German is included and maintained for you.

You don't have to lose analytics to compliance. In the EU, UK, and EEA, every visitor sees the consent banner. Everywhere else, Basic counts visitors as consented by default — recovering the data you lose when every region has to click Accept first. It's an optimisation, not a shortcut: consent stays opt-in wherever it's legally required.
